Jibber Jabber

Today we were able to weigh Abbie. The result: 11 lbs. 6 oz.
She is definitely getting bigger although I thought she might weigh more than that based on her food consumption and how heavy she feels :)

here are some of Abbie's nicknames:
(Brandon is the King of coming up with nicknames:)
Princess
Princess grunts-a-lot
Smiley
Boo-boo
Gooby
Tiny One
Cutie-tutie
Abbi-girl
Miss piggy

Abbie talks all the time! Her grunts and coos are so cute. In this video Abbie and Brandon are having a 'conversation'.

During this particular tummy time she got kind of lazy and quit holding her head up. She was a bit more interested in eating her hand- which she has been doing a lot lately.

Other news:
Brandon finished his 2nd year of law school about a week and half ago (only one more year left) and will continue working as a research assistant over the summer. Also, one of the articles that he is co-authoring got accepted to be published in the Santa Clara Law Review- probably in November. Yay!

7.5 hours

Yep, that's right. This little cutie slept from 9pm to 4:30 am. Brandon me woke up at 4am and asked me if I had gotten up with her yet. I said no. We both panicked a little and he went in to check on her and make sure she was breathing. Thankfully she was and was still sound asleep. She did get up 1/2 an hour later. I guess we wore her out yesterday :) It felt so great to sleep good. When she got up again at 7:30 am I had slept so good that I didn't even go back to bed after she ate. I hope this becomes a regular thing!

p.s. Abbie is 7 weeks old today!

Easter

We started celebrating Easter yesterday by going up to Salt Lake to spend the day with Brandon's family.

This is Brandon's attempt at getting Abbie dressed. Good thing he is not a stay at home dad :)

We went to a family BBQ. They had a really cool egg hunt- we helped Breanna and Jayden.
It was kind of chilly outside so this was Grandma Crowther's way of keeping Abbie warm. What a cutie!

Showing off her new trick of standing/ putting weight on her legs.

Last night after we got home, we dyed Easter eggs.

Today we spent the day at my family's house. We went to church, went on an egg/candy hunt and had family over for dinner.

This is Abbie's cute Easter dress (thanks mom). Her little underwear pants are a little too big- they kept falling down :)

Abbie's first ride down the slide.

She got some books and binkys in the Easter basket from my parents. We got stuff too but who wants to see a picture of us when you can look at cute Abbie-girl!

Abbie wishing everyone a Happy Easter!

I love Easter! I love spending time with family, dyeing eggs, going on Easter egg hunts, and eating candy. But most of all, I love my Savior and am so grateful for the Atonement and Resurrection. I am so grateful to know that He lives and that we can live again!

Happy graduation!

Although I technically graduated from BYU last December (in Elementary Ed), today was the day that I 'walked'. I was hesitant but with some persuasion I decided to participate, and now I am very glad I did. It was fun to celebrate this accomplishment and see my friends and professors. Thanks to my family for coming and supporting me!!!

Yummy popsicle

Well, Abbie doesn't hate her baths anymore as long as the water is really warm

Doing tummy time with Daddy

She is getting really good with her head

Abbie's first time eating anything other than milk. Her face is hilarious!

She was too busy smiling at me to notice her toys :)

Abbie's baby blessing

Abbie was blessed today in church. It was a beautiful blessing and I cried through the whole thing. Thanks to all those who came and supported us!

She was so good and slept until right before the blessing. We gave her a few sips of her bottle which made her happy, so she didn't cry during it. Then after when Brandon held her up for all to see, she had a big smile. It was so cute!

Her blessing dress was given to me from my best friend Amanda about 10 years ago. It was made by her mom, Debbie. It has purple ribbons and bows because purple has always been my favorite color. Also, her cute, little shoes were made by my aunt Sandra. So, thanks Amanda, Debbie, and Sandra!

Smiling because it was such a great day!

hair or no hair?

So, funny story: Abbie is going bald...

but only on one side of her head.
See, she has hair on her right side. I guess some hair is better than no hair :)

I love this picture because it shows how good of a daddy he is as he cuddles her while trying to calm her down :)
(oh, and check out that 'daddy diaper bag' he is wearing- we got it as a gift)

She is so funny with her arms.
I guess the light was just a little to bright or something.

She loves being bundled up. It's the only way she will go to sleep.
(unless she is in her car seat)

Yes, I know she doesn't need to wear a hat in her room, but we just had to have her try it on and model.

She is so cute and we love her more each day!!!

We love walking

Another one of Abbie's funny faces (Thoughtful Abbie).

Yesterday, because it was so nice outside, Abbie and I walked with Brandon to campus and dropped him off. It was kind of nice being there without having to worry about classes or upcoming finals.

Our walk today.
She's so funny, almost as soon as we start walking she falls asleep. And as soon as we stop she wakes up again.

Ha ha, she loves her tongue.

Grandmas' sweetie (says the bib)

Best friends, until he pawned her off to the swing :)

She is also starting to "talk" now. It's pretty cute!

Therese x4

So I feel like I have been on an emotional roller coaster this past week. Sometimes I felt fine and sometimes I just felt crappy. I'm wondering if the baby blues are catching up to me. Also, Abbie had a few days where she was just really fussy and needy- I felt like I couldn't get anything done. She also hasn't been sleeping as good during the day (at least she does during the night!)

Anyway, I'm feeling great right now and Abbie is taking a nap with Brandon. I guess we'll see how long that lasts.

Yesterday at the ward swap, we got this fun mat for Abbie to play with. Although I wouldn't say that she was playing with it, more just looking around and randomly hitting the toys with her flailing arms :)

For some reason she likes me to hold her in this position (sometimes) when she is going to sleep.

4 generations of Therese:

Christine Therese Crowther
Colleen Therese Winterton (grandma)
Therese Ruth McDaniel (great-grandma)

Abbie in her cute, little dress from Mexico. Thanks Ness!
Unfortunately she is getting too big for it.

She isn't too happy in this picture (nap time) but you can see the funny ruffles around the neck.

I just realized I'm in a lot of these pictures. I guess I had some catching up to do with Brandon :)

1 month old

Can you believe it?
Abbie is already 1 month old!
I can't believe she's that big and at the same time it feels like she has been with us for a very long time.
Some of the things she can do:
smile :)
follow things with her eyes
hold her head up for short periods of time

I took this picture the other day and thought it was adorable!

Then & Now

I was looking through my camera today and came across a video we took at the hospital.
After watching it, it's crazy how much she has grown and changed!

Smiling :)

It's crazy how much Abbie has changed! She is beginning to develop a personality. She knows what she wants and is not afraid to let us know. Which means that she cries more. She also doesn't go to sleep as well anymore and gets fussy. Thankfully we have this awesome mobile. It plays music, spins, and has lights. Usually this will put her to sleep :)

Daily reading time :)

We have also completely moved away from breastfeeding. I just pump and then we feed her through bottles. It is a little extra work but a lot less frustration. I bought a double electric pump, so it's fast and easy.

Notice the baby acne on her cheeks. Hopefully that goes away soon!

We went for our first walk on Friday because the weather was so nice

I don't think she even knew we went on a walk because she slept the whole time. Probably because she was in her car seat. It's kind of like Pavlov's response. She always falls asleep when she is in her car seat.

We went to Brandon's mission reunion Friday night and she got her own name tag. Can you believe he has been home from his mission for 4 years now. We had fun showing her off to everyone :)

Watching General Conference yesterday.

She is getting to be a little chubs- with her many chins and chunky thighs :)

Family picture- we all kind of matched

During General conference this morning she was smiling up a storm. It was so cute!
Enjoy watching...

(sorry, not the best quality)

P.S. Happy 100th post- finally!
