wheeler farm

Monday, on a whim we decided to head over to Wheeler Farm. Abbie was so excited to see the animals. On the way we picked up great grandma so she could come with us.  When we first got there Abbie was all about walking and checking out the animals. After awhile she decided to enjoy the view on grandma's lap.

I was surprised how close she was able to get to the ducks and chickens without getting freaked out.

Checking out the bunnies

Watching the 'neighs' eat their 'nummys'

Front row seat to watch the cows

Love this girl! And it was warm enough that we were able to take off our coats. Love this weather!

So many birds!

We were only there for about an hour but it was lots of fun :)

It's beginning to look like Christmas

A huge storm hit us this past weekend. I have mixed feelings about the snow. It is pretty to look at and it means Christmas is coming, but I HATE driving in it and I hate the cold. Abbie thinks the 'no'(snow) is pretty and yummy to eat. Playing in it didn't last very long though because it was so cold.

Yesterday we put up our Christmas tree, lights and other decorations. Yay, I love it!  Abbie thought it was fun to put on the balls (ornaments).  She thinks the 'tee'(tree) and 'dies'(lights) in the window are awesome.

sick girl

Tuesday morning Abbie was a little warm and whiny. When I took her temp it was normal so I thought maybe she was just getting a tooth or something. At lunch time she wouldn't eat, was super sad, and was burning up. She definitely had a fever (102.2F). The poor girl couldn't get a hold of herself, she just bawled for a while even after I turned on Barney. She finally calmed down and fell asleep in my arms for about 40 min. When she woke up I asked her if she wanted to go to her bed to sleep and she said yes so she did for about 2 hours. Brandon came home early and was there when she woke up. She spent the next while laying on his lap. We finally talked her into having a cool bath, which lasted for about 60 seconds (better than nothing). As soon as she got out she threw-up everything she had eaten, which wasn't much. She was a lot more calm after and seemed to feel a little better. She also received a blessing from Brandon and Todd. By the evening she was feeling better enough to do more than lay on someone.  Yesterday she didn't have a fever but was still really whiny. As long as she was on tylenol she would play, etc.

I think she is pretty much over it now, thankfully! Yay, for a having a happy (mostly) girl again. And now I can actually get stuff done again. :)

November leaves

We finally got around to playing in the leaves. Good thing the weather decided to be nice again.

Bonus picture: Abbie loves salsa.
Who needs chips when you can just grab it by the handful and shove it in your mouth?

Halloween

For FHE Monday night we went upstairs to join the crew and carved our pumpkins.

I let Abbie color her pumpkins with markers. She loved it, unfortunately now she always wants to use markers.

On Halloween morning Abbie and I went to my mom's school. Grandma and baby elephant were in the parade.

In the evening we went to the wards (like 3 wards combined) / neighborhood trunk-or-treat. It was awesome how many people were there.

Always too busy to look at the camera

Afterwards we went trick-or-treating. Breanna, Amber, and Eli came with us. Abbie even said some version of 'trick-or-treat' a couple of times. She pretty much loved getting candy.

Mario and Luigi :)
