park

Our first trip to the park this year. We have been loving this spring like weather.

 

Lucas: 7 months

Already a month older! It's amazing how fast they grow and change. 

* Wears 6-9 month clothes

*sleep: Not going well at all. Very hit and miss with naps. Wakes up more often during the night, and doesn't know how to soothe himself back to sleep.

* Loves food!!! But also gets very distracted while eating/nursing. He has also started using a sippy cup and eating puffs.

Luke is very good at getting around. He rolls like crazy and now can get up on his knees and move both knees forward. He just hasn't figured out to move his hands forward. I'm sure soon enough he will be crawling all over the place. He does lunge forward from his knees when he is trying to get something. Speaking of which, he is very curious and is always trying to grab things (and taste them).

Singing

Abbie loves to sing. Most of the time she will make up her own songs (inherited from her daddy). But, she is also learning some real songs. Surprisingly she sang them for me on camera. Enjoy this little treat!

Ice castles

Monday night we went up to the Midway ice castles with all the Crowthers. Because it was the last day it was super crowded. We had to wait over an hour just to get inside.

I will say that the ice castle itself was pretty cool. Unfortunately  because of the circumstances (Super long drive there and back. Waiting in line forever. Cold. Too many people inside. Sleeping Lucas. Whiny, past bedtime Abbie. Arms tired from carrying kids.) it was not my favorite trip.

6 month stats and stuff

I took Lucas to his 6 month appointment today. He is healthy and right on track developmentally.

Height: 27 in (53rd percentile)

Weight: 16 lbs (15th percentile)

Head Circumference: 17.32 in (60th percentile)

Also, last night while reading a bedtime story, he got up on his knees and started rocking back and forth. We almost have a crawler on our hands!
